LICENSING AND BUSINES ACTIVITIES

DMCC offers a very wide range of business activities falling under 3 types of licenses: Service,Trading and General Trading as well as Industrial. A DMCC Company can have up to 5 business activities from the same category under one license.

SHARE CAPITAL

The minimum share capital required for a DMCC Company is AED 50,000 and should be deposited in the corporate bank account not later than 4 weeks after the approval of the trading license. The share capital can be withdrawn at any time after the registration process is completed. Branches are exempted from capital requirements.

Commodities Trading

DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodity Center) is home to companies trading in commodities including precious metals and stones, as well as rough diamonds. The Dubai Diamond Exchange as well as the Dubai Kimberly office are housed in the ALMAS Tower in JLT.

RESIDENCE VISA

For the issue of a residence visa the presence of the applicant in Dubai is necessary for 5-7 working days.During this time the medical checkup takes place along with the finger print session and visa stamping in the passport. A residence visa is valid for 3 years however the visa holder should visit Dubai at least once every 6 months.

FLEXI DESK

The minimum office facility required for a DMCC license is a Flexi Desk provided by the DMCC Authorities and allows for the eligibility of 3 visas.

APPOINTMENT OF AUDITOR

A DMCC company is required to file annual audited Financial Statements and an Auditor should be officially appointed within one month after the trade license is issued.

Pre-approval

At this stage we will submit to the DMCC Authorities your company application together with a passport copy, utility bill, and KYC form for each shareholder, director, manager and company secretary. We will assist you with the preparation of the business plan which should also be submitted together with 3 alternative company names of your preference. The pre-approval stage is expected to take about 10 working days.

Company registration

At this stage you should visit us in Dubai to present passports, sign the specimen signature forms, the shareholder resolution and memorandum and articles of association in the presence of the DMCC Authorities. Alternatively, all the above documents should be notarized and Apostilled in your home country. The registration stage is expected to take around 10 working days.

Corporate bank account

At the completion of the registration stage, the DMCC Authorities will issue the Provisional Approval and Bank Letter to be used for the opening of the corporate bank account were the required share capital will be deposited. The presence of the shareholder or bank signatory in Dubai is necessary for at least one day to sign the bank forms. Please note that at the time of visiting the DMCC Authorities in Dubai, the signature of bank formalities will also take place. One visit will cover everything.

Company licensing

At this stage a DMCC Flexi Desk office contract or office lease agreement should be signed. Upon completion of the licensing stage, DMCC will issue the company license, memorandum and articles of association, share certificates, certificate of registration and personnel secondment agreement. This stage is expected to take another 10 working days.

Post licensing

After the issue of the license and within 30 days, a bank statement showing the deposit of the share capital, an appointment letter of an external auditor and a personnel secondme agreement should be submitted to the DMCC Authorities. Furthermore, a sample of the company letterhead with a stamp should also be submitted according to DMCC requirements.
